Abstract : Influence of cultural labelling of the collaborativ task and the cultural composition of paires on the transactive memory. This study seeks to determine how the cultural labeling and cultural composition of pairs that do not know each other, can influence transactive memory. Artificial, mono-cultural and bicultural pairs have been led to test a memory game that marked culturally and collaboratively without any competition. The assumption says that bicultural individuals have a better transactive memory and are more efficient when they cooperate together. The results we have confirmed that the Franco-Moroccan pairs exhibit better performance when it comes to complete the French game, and they have a higher transactive memory when the game begins with French cards. They also make more gestures of scores to help each other while the mono-cultural pairs will be more confidence in monitoring the pointing gesture. The sharing of different cultures allows players to help when a task is marked culturally. But this study also shows that transactive memory « illusory » can implement based on cultural stereotypes and can thus affect performance. In the case of this study when bicultural pairs begin a game marked the Moroccan culture, they show a total score of less transactive memory.
