Expert on cloud and telecommunication platforms, 11 years of experience. I am a rigorous self learning person capable of becoming proficient on any topic in a very short time. My key values are honesty, dedication, and respect. I like to maintain a direct and clear communication in any situation. My mind is always set on resolving and improving and i would like to be involved in my next venture in a DevOps environment.
Context : I was brought in at SFR to manage a IaaS platform hosting around 4000 virtual machines, spread over 3 sites. The challenge was to maintain and manage evolutions on a very complex platform experiencing heavy performance constraints..
Missions :
Live system support
Documentation management
KPI reporting
Capacity planning
Partners relationship and reporting. .
Outcome : It took a year of reverse engineering and constant design changes to reach the expected stability and maintain the SLAs. I had to implement a plan to rewire the entire network and storage infrastructure in order to follow best practices and have full redundancy. I also planed and actually performed an upgrade of the whole live platform software and firmware, it involved nearly 400 equipments. Finally to make the support tasks easier i developed a monitoring and reporting tool showing all the metrics necessary to qualify incidents properly as well as the capacity planning.
Context : When i came in, the RANGW was already live but facing some really strong challenges in terms of performance and design. The product did not include any administration or reporting tool and as it is a very large and complex solution, being in the dark was rendering the management of this solution very complicated. .
Missions :
Level 3 support
KPI collecting and reporting
Capacity planning
Tests and validations
Challenging design flaws to improve the solution. .
Outcome : At first , my mission was to produce a capacity planning and perform LSS tasks. When i left i was proficient on all the RANGW and i could setup some tools to administer the RANGW, pinpoint the geographical origin of failures, report all the femto access point KPI, and produce an automatically generated capacity planing. I am thankful to the people in this team who trusted me enough to let me go further from my original scope, allowing me to learn from truly skilled colleagues. Together we could also participate to improve the design of a promising solution.
Context: My last mission for Alcatel-Lucent was as Technical project manager. I was in charge of planning and following integration projects abroad. .
Missions :
Projects and resources management
Risk assessment
Level 3 support
Documentation management .
Outcome : After more than 5 intense years working for ALU I feel that i have successfully put all my motivation in every challenge that was given to me but also in the many ones i set to myself to go everyday further within the field of expertise and toward customer satisfaction. The specifics of working abroad for long periods, the sharp technologies i could work on in ALU, and the incredible number of skilled professionals i could meet worldwide make it a truly outstanding experience.I still feel today, that these 5 years were worth 10 years of self improvement.
Context: My second mission was as technical expert. I could work on a wider variety of products. the job was to give technical expertise on integration projects abroad that were either urgent or facing technical challenges. .
Missions:
Level 3 support
Documentation management
Tests and validation
Trainings .
Outcome : This was the other side of the looking-glass. I was resolving problems on remote platforms with a limited access to on site resources. It is different but as complicated as being on site with limited access to any form of support. Both jobs require a fair amount of ingenuity and dedication. This time i had to use my own experience to reproduce the issues, create a solution or at least a work around and do my best not to leave a fellow colleague in a dead end for days or weeks. Communication efficiency was a key, as well as good self organization and ability to work on many of these projects at the same time.
Context : My first professional experience was as integration and support engineer for Alcatel-Lucent. I was involved in deploying from beginning to end ALU value added services around the world. The varitey of technologies and the specifics of each project made gave me a widely multipurpose skill set. .
Missions :
On site hardware inventory
Racking and cabling
Installing and configuring services
Installing and configuring network equipments
SS7 and IP core network interconnection
Fonctional and technical acceptance
Customer training. .
Outcome : This unique experience gave me the opportunity to develop my knowledge while working on state of the art telecom equipments. I learned also from the specific aspects of working in a multicultural environment and spending a very long time abroad. Hence I became a very good self learner, I am able to work alone if necessary but i am also able to be part of a team and adapt to any cultural or methodological circumstances. I handle very well an important workload and its inherent pressure, i got used to work on critical live systems around which mistakes are not allowed. My mind is very analytical, when facing a challenge or learning on a topic i like to extend my focus to every closely related subject.
