Présentation
Young scientist, with a double skill in biology and biochemistry, I am ready to participate in any project which allows me exploiting my skills at best. Rigorous and clean in my work, I am opened to new challenges, and eager to integrate the world of life science companies.
CV réalisé sur DoYouBuzz
  • PhD Thesis in Biology, microbiology: "Characterisation of higBA, a Toxin-Antitoxin system of Caulobacter crescentus".
  • Creation, management and implementation of a scientific research project.
  • Understanding of the function of a genetic system, called Toxin-Antitoxin, in the resistance of bacteria to antibiotics.
  • Use of various scientific techniques:
  • Biochemistry: total extraction of bacterial proteins, Western blot. Total extraction of bacterial RNA and DNA. Measure of the enzymatic activity of Beta-galactosidase.
  • Molecular biology: gene insertion in a plasmid reporter, transformation and transduction of bacteria. Chromatine Immuno-Precipitation followed by quantitative PCR (Q-ChIP), or by deep sequencing of the genome (ChIP-SEQ). Transposon insertion followed by deep sequencing of the genome (Tn-SEQ).
  • Bioinformatical analyses: analysis of ChIP-SEQ and Tn-SEQ, use of scientific softwares to transform and analyse deep sequencing datas.
  • Cellular biology: Bacterial cultures. Synchronization of bacterial cultures. Stress induction on bacterial cultures. Infection using phages. Construction of mutant bacterial strains by gene deletion.
  • First thesis project in the study of insulin production. Characterisation of a cell line able to produce high quantity of insulin.
  • Versatile technician.
  • Work on various projects in the laboratory.
  • Use of scientific techniques:
  • Animal manipulation and takings. Infection and follow-up of infected mouse, taking of spleen and lymph nodes.
  • Cellular biology: primary culture of leukocytes extracted from organs of mouse. Immunological marking of specific antigens, identification of cellular populations by flow cytometry (FACSCan, FACSCanto).

Warehouseman

Manpower
Août 2007 à mai 2008
Intérim
Lyon

  • Realization of temporary missions as a driver-deliverer, warehouseman and cleaner of rented cars.
  • "Study of the effects of the S-Vérapamil enantiomer in different human cancer cells".
  • Study of a new chemotherapy strategy by the development of pro-apoptotic agents targeting chemoresistant cancer cells over-expressing the membrane protein Multidrug Resistance Protein 1 (MRP1).
  • Use of biochemistry, molecular biology, and cellular biology techniques.
  • Biochemistry: Perfection of an enzymatic measuring out. Quantification of arginase in animal samples for early diagnostic of trypanosoma infection.
  • Animal manipulation and takings. Rat infection by trypanosome, follow-up of the infected rats (loss of weight), taking of the brain and peritoneal macrophages of rats.
  • Partners’ identification of the dioxin metabolism in human dental cells.
  • Teeth can be considered as easily accessible organs to detect the long-term poisoning by the dioxin.
  • Molecular Biology techniques: RNA extraction form eukaryote cells, primer design for Polymerase Chain Reaction, PCR, reverse transcriptase PCR and Real Time PCR.

Internship

Laboratoire Lumière

  • Techniques of medical analyses and toxicology.
  • Biochemical medical analyses on an automaton: dimension(size) XPand of Dade Behring. Measures made according to the medical demands on the samples of urine and blood taken from patients.
  • Toxicology analyses of samples taken by the Forensic medicine institute of Lyon. Search for compounds susceptible to have caused the death, present in the various samples from autopsies, using Gaseous Chromatography coupled with a mass spectrometer, and/or by HPLC coupled with a spectrophotometer UV-Light.
  • Highlighting of the consumption of drugs by patients.
