On Going - Future Architecture SW Deployment Set Pilot:
Setup the Pilot environment for Software and Patch distribution:
- Create together with external consultant the initial configuration of the tenant
-Create the roles and rights concept based on Draexlmaier internal structure.
- Create initial security and data privacy configuration according with our internal directives.
Implement tenant configuration and distribution servers:
- Select locations that will be used during the POC and setup the infrastructure ( 5000 devices).
- Establish network configuration, firewall rules, interfaces with other systems like Active Directory.
Setup the software distribution rules and create software packages:
- Migrate the important applications/scripts to be created for Office and Shopfloor environments.
- Configure the interaction with the end users (Software Shop) and synchronization interval.
Setup the patch management rules and maintenance windows:
- Configure the automatic patch process for maintaining Windows and third-party app up to date.
- Analyze and implement the possibility to stop the patch distribution (blackout window).
Completed-Future Architecture SW Deployment (POC):
Creating catalog of requirements for future solution:
- List requirements for Software deployment solution and patch management
- Select four products (Microsoft Configuration manager, Ivanti Neurons, Microsoft Intune with Suite addon, + Vendor selected during project)
- Compare products: Evaluate Cloud vs. On-premise solution from cost and technical point of view.
- Setup POC environment from three providers ( Tanium, Manage Engine and Ivanti Neurones ).
- Test Software Deployment and Patch management solution in pilot locations and test environment.
- Select product and Create a rollout plan
Completed-Redesign Client Patching Process:
- Redesign the patching process in Ivanti APM (Review all MW and applications patched)
- Create a faster release process to ensure the proper timeline for patches installation

- Evaluate and create a testing process for patches before release them (RPA Solution)
- Configure WufB in Microsoft Intune and pilot the service to all IT colleagues.
