About Me
Holding a master degree in biology with a major in bioinformatics, I am looking for a PhD position with a research topic related to cancer.
Resume created on DoYouBuzz
  • Research for methods discovering the copy number alteration (CNA) patterns in cancer array-based data
  • Integration of Database of Genomic Variants (DGV) and CNV map data in the method development
  • Understand the limits of using array-based data for copy number alteration analysis
  • Analysis on genes and pathways affected by CNAs
Detailed Description
  • Use of pathway over-representation analysis for cancer classification
  • Gene annotations with BioMart and R packages (based on UCSC annotations)
Company Description
The focus of the laboratory's research is the analysis of structural variations in cancer genomes by computational genomics, including bioinformatics and systems biology methods. Their work centers around our collection of genomic tumor data, assembled from copy number screening experiments in cancer. Specific projects deal with the development of computational methods for cancer genome data analysis, genomic aberration analysis in specific tumor entities as well as large scale exploration of imbalance patterns in malignancies.
