- • To provide operational leadership to the Trust and to take responsibility for its management, administration and financial control on a day-to-day basis as required by the CEO.
- • To ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the values of the Trust.
- • Ensuring that the board’s long-term strategy is communicated to and adhered to by all staff in the Trust.
- • Working closely with the chair of the Finance Committee and being responsible to the CEO for the overall financial health of the Trust.
- • Through sound business planning, ensuring that the Trust is aware of the human, material and financial resources it needs to operate effectively.
- • Taking appropriate steps to protect the Trust from risk, including taking responsibility for the Risk Register and action plan emanating from it.
- • Ensuring all policies and statutory requirements are adhered to.
- • Ensuring that the Trust has the right management systems and structures to carry out its work effectively, accountably and safely.
- • Line managing some of the operational staff within the Trust and senior managers.
- • Providing leadership to the management teams and direction to all staff to ensure that staff, volunteers and others working in the Trust are focused on achieving the mission and operational priorities.
