The Ebola vaccine trial implemented by Alima, in consortium with tropical medicine institutes from UK, France, and the US, and pharmaceutical labs is a ambitious, unique project aiming at defining the real immunization and side effects of a vaccine.
The projects aims at recruiting and following-up several thousands volunteers over a time span of 5 years.
Identified rural communities affected by the Ebola epidemics and assessed their capacities in benefiting from livelihood and agro-economic recovery donations and training, in coordination with local farmer unions and corporations.
Evaluated the needs in terms of donations and support needed and planned the activities, procurement and logistics processes accordingly.
Produced a body of recommendations to improve the structure and running of the DRC party.
Coordinated the awareness and outreach teams for French Red Cross, and ensured action was consistent with local health institutions practices and Red-Cross Society standards.
