Patrick Walsh, CEO, is an entrepreneur, investor, and corporate executive known for his work in investment management and long-term business strategy. Based in Palm Beach County, Florida, he founded PW Partners in 2012 to help small- and mid-cap companies strengthen operational performance and maximize value through disciplined capital allocation. His experience within the investment sector has earned attention from major national publications, including Forbes, Barron's, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times.
As founder and chief executive of PW Partners, Patrick leads the firm’s efforts in enterprise finance, mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, and corporate strategy. Operating from Jupiter, Florida, the firm has developed expertise in identifying opportunities in consumer- and restaurant-related industries. His leadership and business achievements were recognized in 2018 when Ernst & Young named him Entrepreneur Of The Year. In addition to his responsibilities at PW Partners, he also oversaw operations at Empire Holdings and Investments, a diversified holding company with subsidiaries and investment interests across Florida and throughout the United States.
Over the years, Patrick has worked closely with organizations tied to hospitality, health clubs, dining, and consumer services. Companies connected to his career include TMPL, Palm Beach Sports Club, LIV, Town Sports International, and Famous Dave's of America. His professional career began in 1998 at Prudential Capital Group and Prudential Securities, where he focused on commercial property and publicly traded real estate investment trusts. He later joined Deutsche Bank as a vice president in investment banking, then transitioned into leadership roles at hedge funds and partnerships in Chicago. In 2012, he relocated to Florida to establish PW Partners.
Patrick's educational background reflects a combination of academic achievement and specialized financial training. He attended Wesleyan University, where he studied economics while participating in two sports, football and baseball. After a back injury ended his athletic career, he transferred to Boston College and graduated with honors in accountancy. He later pursued advanced investment studies at Columbia University through the Graduate School of Business Executive Value Investing Program led by economist Bruce Greenwald. He also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation through the CFA Institute.
Born in San Diego and raised in Boston, Patrick Walsh, CEO, now lives and works in Jupiter, Florida. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he maintains interests in cooking, travel, fitness, and literature. Throughout his career, he has served on several corporate boards, including BJ's Restaurants, Inc., Del Taco Restaurants, Inc., and Town Sports International, where he served as chairman of the board. Nation's Restaurant News also recognized him in its 2015 Power List for his role and influence within the restaurant industry.
