About Me
Dr. Mike Feinberg is President and Co-Founder of Texas School Venture Fund (TXSVF) and Career For All, organizations dedicated to increasing the supply and diversity of quality schools in communities seeking more educational options. Career For All has incubated several schools and organizations, including Eastex Jensen Neighborhood School, Westchase Neighborhood School, WorkTexas adult trade school, and various other educational initiatives.

After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991, Mike joined Teach For America, teaching bilingual fifth grade in Houston, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Education from National-Louis University. Mike has received honorary doctorates from Yale University and Duke University, as well as the National Community Service Award from Spelman College.

In 2004, Dr. Feinberg was named an Ashoka Fellow for his innovative work in education. He has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, CBS 60 Minutes, and in the book "Work hard. Be nice." by Washington Post reporter Jay Mathews. In 2005, he led the rapid establishment of NOW College Prep, a school for Hurricane Katrina evacuees in Houston.
