Advise students majoring in Communication, over 1000 currently declared students.
Update and implement advising procedures, policies, and paper materials.
Oversee department internship course COMM 3610 (about 60-80 students enrolled on average). Create and grade assignments for the course and track student internship hours.
Manage department undergraduate scholarships which includes updating scholarship application, materials, collecting and organizing applications, setting up awards for disbursement, and corresponding with scholarship recipients and honor society awardees.
Office duties as needed: answering phone calls, assisting front desk and faculty members, etc.
Help students understand the major and bachelor degree requirements and become familiar with different offices on campus.
