Josh Seidenfeld

Josh is a recognized leader in digital health and life sciences law, serving as the global chair of Cooley’s Digital Health Group and as a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Advisory Board. He advises founders, investors, and management teams in life sciences, healthcare, and technology sectors, facilitating the arrangement of companies for venture capital deals, mergers with other firms, and stock offerings as well as handling corporate and securities matters on an ongoing basis.
Since 2020, Josh has been involved in more than 300 venture capital financings throughout multiple growth stages. His area of expertise spans across very different industries, such as biotechnology, therapeutic drugs, chemical compounds, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, climate and energy technology, digital health, medical equipment, open source platforms, and commercial software.

Josh brings practical, industry-informed perspective, which he acquired during his prior position at Practice Fusion, where he functioned as corporate counsel and director of business development. His areas of expertise include revenue generation, compliance with the intricate regulations governing digital healthcare, and negotiation of commercially significant agreements. Besides taking care of his clients, Josh also contributes to Cooley GO as an editor, a means through which he provides tools, strategic guidance, and data to entrepreneurs and emerging companies.
