Senior Maintenance & Integrity Engineer

Petroleum Development Oman (PDO)
March 2009 to May 2013
  • Shell Secondee into PDO which is Non Operated Venture operating 130 producing fields, 6,000 producing wells across 100,000 km2 and a global leader in EOR.
  • Lead team of 25+ EPC, subcontractor and company staff developing Maintenance Management Systems incl. SAP Maintenance Build for Qarn Alam Steam Project, a $1.5bln Greenfield Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project.
  • Implementation of risk-based maintenance (RCM, RBI, IPF) resulting in significant cost savings, reduced deferment whilst improving integrity (e.g. first implementation in PDO of RBI for relief valves)
  • Developed and implemented internal verification process to demonstrate Safety Critical Elements (SCEs) meet their Performance Standards prior to start-up. Setup of SCEs in SAP for integrity assurance.
