I have 10 years experience as RF engineer. I worked in very small company and multinational corporation but always in multicultural environment (Europe, USA, Japan, India, Korea, China...). I have done R&D work but also customer support for Asian clients. I mainly work in the mobile phones industry but also in the space research domain.
I am now looking for new challenges, preferably in multicultural environment, either in R&D or in customer support in France, Belgium & Switzerland for the moment.
Development of Small Cells -> Architecture definition, components selection, board design (schematic and layout) -> mall Cells matching, tuning and debugging -> RF performances test, software integration support -> Support and control of ODMs
-> Responsible for RF support of one of the main smartphone manufacturers -> RF support for some of the top 5 mobile phone makers but also small company doing their first prototype ever -> Support client in RF design with Renesas 2G/3G/LTE platform (USB stick & phone) -> Answer client’s questions and provide technical help for modifications on the platform -> Schematic, placement and layout review -> Rx & Tx matching, tuning and debugging support in 2G/3G/LTE -> Help RF performances improvement of triple mode boards -> RF performances test and non-regression on client’s boards -> Responsible for onsite support planning -> Training of new RF support team members
Radiofrequency Engineer (2007-2011) Development of 2G/3G/LTE system solutions (USB stick & phone) -> Schematic review -> Layout review (placement and routing) -> Rx & Tx matching, tuning and debugging of 2G/3G/LTE boards -> Validation of RF performances of triple mode boards -> Design of new triple mode form factor board -> Simulation and on board testing (system test and integration) of -> RF IC dual mode first sample -> RF test tool development on Excel (board and equipment control) -> Tools team support (writing of requirements, validation of tool & customer support)
RF Test Manager (2009-2011) -> Centralization and Maintenance of the Test Requirements for RF, 2G/3G and beyond -> Ownership the 2G & 3G “Conformance” Tests Benches; -> Responsible for Test Equipment usage and allocation -> Responsible for Test Equipment Maintenance and Evolutions with TOOLS Team. -> Do or support all “conformance” 2G & 3G tests -> Certify all the Official Tests Reports
Support of mobile phones manufacturers (Principally Samsung) using Nexperia cellular system solutions -> Schematic review -> Layout review (placement and routing) -> Tuning and debugging of client boards -> Reproduction and analysis of problems on client boards ready to go in mass production or in mass production, then problem solving if it is RF problems -> Onsite customer support (Samsung, Seattle) concerning a problem on a board already in mass production. -> Realization of fields tests, traces of mobiles and interpretation of measurements. -> Support of the development of a new reference design, then tuning and debugging. Training of colleagues on the tuning of the new reference design -> Onsite customer support (Samsung, Seoul) on a board using the new platform (tuning and debugging) -> Validation of RF performances of boards
ESA – Development and building of a radiometer -> Writing of the technical specifications -> Design of the radiometer working as a Total Power Radiometer and as a Noise Adding Radiometer in X Band and Ka Band with local and remote control -> Selection of the components -> Mechanical design -> Control circuit design -> Writing of the software specifications -> Writing of the Test Plan -> Test and validation of the components and the system -> Writing of the documentation -> On site testing
SED System Inc – Development of subsystems of cryogenic receivers (LNA) X and Ka band for ESA 35m Deep Space Antenna 2 (Cebreros-Spain) -> Integration of components and tests -> Noise Temperature measurements of the components and of the full systems
ESA – Maintenance and upgrade of subsystems of cryogenic receivers (LNA) S and X band for ESA 35m Deep Space Antenna 1 (New Norcia-Australia) -> Writing of the Test Plan -> Maintenance of cryogenic cooling system -> Upgrade of the monitoring system -> RF test
ESA – Development of a 2 inputs 2 outputs Ka Band waveguide switch with 1 input 2 outputs Ka Band ferrite switches -> Mechanical design -> Control circuit design and test -> Writing of the Test Plan -> RF test
ESA – ESA – Filters Testing -> Writing of the Test Plan -> Ambient temperature and cryogenic temperature RF tests -> Tests results report
CNES – Analysis of coupling of new terrestrial solutions with satellite technologies -> Research and study on new terrestrial technologies (WiMax, iBurst, Flash-OFDM, MBWA, DVB-H, WADSL, UWB, xMax, WiMix) -> Study of the various standards and commercial offers of satellite networks (DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-RCS, IPOS, S-DOCSIS) -> Development of scenarios of deployment based on real or realizable cases with their characteristics in term of a number of users, services, security -> Technical study of each coupling combination of terrestrial and satellite technologies -> Economical study of various scenarios of deployment -> Classification of the terrestrial and satellite technologies couplings according to their technical performances and costs for each scenario -> Redaction of reports and presentation of the results to CNES engineers
