Yubely Zolke served at Benton Heights Elementary School as an assistant principal and special needs administrator. During her two year tenure at this school in North Carolina, Yubely Zolke supervised teachers and worked with them in identifying and addressing the needs of students. She specifically developed a system that focuses on student behavior and their emotional needs.
In addition, as a representative at a local educational agency, Ms. Zolke was involved in meetings on individualized education programs. She also advocated for professional learning.
Before the above roles, she spent seven years serving as an assistant principal at East Union Middle School. Yubely Zolke primarily worked with the sixth grade and helped with progress in their math and reading.
In her educational roles, she employed skills that were developed from university coursework. Ms. Zolke completed a bachelor's degree in modern languages from Surcolombiana University and also earned a master’s degree from Greensboro College. This advanced degree is in teaching English to speakers of other languages.
