Yasser J. Yasser Josue Brenes joined Republic Services in 2017, serving as a general manager for 2 years in Seattle, Washington. During this time, he helped optimize routes and reduce labor costs to improve operations at the company’s small container and transfer stations. He also implemented a Business Unit Safety Program that resulted in a significant decrease in injuries. In 2019, he joined the company’s Peoria branch as director of operations. In addition to improving safety performance through safety stand downs and route observations, he recruited and trained individuals in the company’s general manager candidate pipeline.
Yasser Josue Brenes holds a bachelor of arts in government from the California State University in Sacramento, an MBA from Pacific Lutheran University, and a human resource management certificate from Cornell University.
