An accomplished medical professional, Dr. Yale Popowich has over two decades of experience as a surgeon, during which time he has received several awards, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Man of the Year award. In addition, Dr. Yale Popowich has co-authored several papers, including ‘Neutrophil Survival on Biomaterials is Determined by Surface Topography,’ which was published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery in 2003.
In 2014, he founded and served as partner of the Portland Plastic Surgery Group, the first of its kind in that city. While at the practice, which he co-led until early 2020, he utilized skills developed while pursuing his M.B.A to manage employees and daily operations.
Prior to starting his medical career, Dr. Popowich worked in the entertainment industry and served as the senior vice president of marketing and distribution at Los Angeles-based Avenue Entertainment. In that role, he was responsible for the acquisition and marketing of independently produced art films.
In addition to an M.B.A., which he earned in 2012, Dr. Yale Popowich holds a medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of arts in political science from Columbia University.
