About Me
A submarine officer in the United States Navy, William Swanbeck holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering with merit from the US Naval Academy. After completing initial submarine and nuclear training, including Nuclear Power School, Nuclear Prototype Training, and Submarine Officer’s Basic Course, he spent several years on board the USS Asheville, serving as the ship’s scuba diving officer and assistant engineer officer. William Brad Swanbeck served as an information systems department head and anti-submarine tactics instructor at the Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center in San Diego.

Mr. Swanbeck earned a master of business administration from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, and a certificate in operations analysis from Naval Post Graduate School. His notable achievements include several years as engineer officer with the USS Maryland, where he was ranked number one out of 36 department heads in Submarine Squadron 2, and a period as operations analyst with the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, where he led more than $1 million in analytic studies.

Most recently, William Brad Swanbeck worked as special assistant to the base commanding officer at Naval Submarine Base New London in Connecticut. Focusing on special projects, he assisted with base-wide security improvement and led various COVID-19 response efforts.
