About Me
Based in Northern California, Suzanne Lindsey is a longtime Alameda County resident with a background in education and public advocacy. Alameda’s Suzanne Lindsey graduated from San Francisco State University in 1962, and began her career as an elementary school educator within the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.

Starting in the 1970s, Ms. Lindsey took on an advocacy role in opposition to proposed nuclear power plants being planned in the local region. She worked to ensure that facilities with a significant potential of endangering the community were never built.

Following her son’s tragic death in an airplane crash above the Oakland Airport, she shifted her activities to speaking within city council settings and helping ensure that a universal, mandatory mode-C transponder equipment requirement was in place for all small aircraft.

Passionate about swimming and sailing, she also enjoys watching basketball in her free time, and has been train in hypnotherapy and handwriting analysis.
