About Me
A pastor, attorney, and motivational speaker, Stafford Henderson Byers upholds a commitment to serving vulnerable members of the population through his work with the Northern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Jamaica, New York. In addition to praying with and delivering sermons to church members, he advocates for health insurance for workers with low-income backgrounds, the elimination of police brutality, and education for all. Stafford Henderson Byers authored an article in the St. John's University Journal of Legal Commentary on the balance of attorney rights and indigents’ right to counsel.

Mr. Byers holds a bachelor of arts in religion from Oakwood University in Alabama, a master of divinity from Andrews University in Michigan, a law degree from Yeshiva University in New York, and a master of business administration from Dowling College in Long Island. In addition to his legal training, Mr. Byers received special training in the Socratic Approach to teaching at Harvard University Law School.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Byers served as a human resource manager for the Village of Freeport, Long Island; as assistant city attorney in New Rochelle; and as assistant county attorney in Nassau County. He also spent several years as an assistant law professor at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University.
