After earning a bachelor of science in pre-medicine from Columbia Union College in Takoma Park, Maryland, Solon Phillips decided to change his focus to law. He served five years as lead paralegal with the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, before enrolling at the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC. While pursuing his juris doctor, Solon Phillips continued to serve as lead paralegal before transitioning to a position as a law clerk with the firm of Arnold & Porter. At the time, he was also raising two children as a single father.
Shortly after earning his JD, Mr. Phillips took on the role of senior law clerk at Arnold & Porter. He went on to direct research/policy and manage specific projects for Schutjer Bogar, LLP.
Currently residing in Bowie, Maryland, Mr. Phillips serves as a licensed attorney and partner with the Remus Enterprises Law Group in nearby Washington, DC. He also works part-time as a law instructor and legal consultant with the Paralegal Institute of Washington, DC.
