Based in San Francisco, California, Siraj Raval is the founder and chief data scientist for the School of AI, the number one most followed artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) channel on YouTube. Over the course of approximately 5 years, he has grown the channel’s presence to include around 715,000 subscribers and 100 million views. The program covers topics such as technical leadership and project management, and features more than 400 deep learning tutorials. Prior to launching the channel, Siraj Raval spent time as a developer and educator with Twilio and as a mobile engineer at CBS Interactive. He began his career in 2013 as a software engineer with Meetup in New York City, an app that was downloaded more than 1.3 million times.
Siraj Raval studied computer science at Columbia University, graduating with his bachelor of arts in 2013. In 2018, he published Amazon’s top selling cryptocurrency book, Decentralized Applications: Harnessing Bitcoin's Blockchain Technology. A few of his personal interests include kickboxing and greenhouse gardening.
