Sion Palacci emigrated to the United States from Egypt with his family in 1965. Between 1975 and 1979 he attended Baruch College in New York City, where he studied finance and business administration, graduating with a bachelor of arts degree.
Mr. Palacci subsequently established his own Brooklyn-based real estate business with a focus on purchasing, renovating, and renting space in various multi-family residential properties. He incorporated this business under the name Sionson, LLC, in 1989, and continues to operate it today.
While continuing his work in the field of real estate, Sion Palacci held entrepreneurial leadership roles in several other fields, including the cargo transportation business, where he founded and managed a company called Dave's Trucking, and the women's clothing business, where he founded and managed a company called Esther's Fashions. He also entered the insurance field, securing health and life insurance licenses in both New York and New Jersey and selling policies as an agent with MassMutual, Union Central, and Ameritas. He currently owns and operates the insurance brokerage company Independent Financial, serving as its founder and manager.
