An accomplished research analyst with a particular interest in sustainable investing (cleantech), Shawn Severson recently established Water Tower Research as an research firm and investor intelligence platform. Shawn Severson and his team of analysts leverage their Wall Street experience to provide “Research for the other 99 percent” and give investors insights and information needed to understand the key business drivers, technology, industry and strategic objectives of the companies he covers.
Also a founder of alphaDIRECT Advisors, Shawn Severson equips investors with the knowledge they need to make intelligent investment decisions. Relying on its members’ significant Wall Street experience, the company utilizes digital communication channels to help companies and investors rebuild communication strategies and investment structures.
Prior to founding alphaDIRECT, Mr. Severson spent several years as managing director of cleantech, industrial growth, and energy practice with The Blueshirt Group, an investor relations practice in San Francisco. He has also served as the managing director of equity research with JMP Securities and with Think Equity LLC. Mr. Severson holds a bachelor of arts in economics from Augustana College.
