Jenison, Michigan, resident Shawn Eric Gillum is an award-winning news reporter with a background in law. As a reporter at WOOD TV8 in Grand Rapids, Shawn Eric Gillum has covered breaking news and wrote compelling news stories for a variety of platforms, and was selected as the first reporter to establish the Kalamazoo Bureau. He earned his juris doctor degree from the University of Denver, where he was a Most Outstanding Graduate Award finalist, and holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Colorado State University.
