About Me
Sean Tenner has over two decades of experience working in the political, issue advocacy and philanthropic arenas. Beginning in 1998, Sean Tenner worked with People for the American Way in Washington, D.C., as a researcher. While in this position, he also gained experience in community outreach and coalition building.

Following his time at People for the American Way, Mr. Tenner worked on Democratic Staff for the Illinois House of Representatives as a program specialist, gaining hands-on experience in both legislative strategy and press relations. This then led to a position with M+R Strategic Services, where he served as a senior consultant with the firm and worked with various charitable organizations, such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Pew Charitable Trusts, Save Darfur and Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.

Since then, Sean Tenner has served in leadership roles in several major political organizations, such as Obama for America, where he served as the director for the Illinois to Iowa program, overseeing the activities and organization of over 4,000 volunteers in 2008. He currently serves as the president of the Chicago-based KNI Communications, where he assists both non-profits and political groups across the country.
