An independent adviser and board member based in Thousand Oaks, California, Said Bolorforosh provides consulting services to help small companies raise capital and accelerate growth. He previously served as chief technology officer for Medtronic Diabetes and president of Siemens Healthcare. In the latter role, he increased business by $70 million in just 2 years. Said Bolorforosh also helped create a culture of employee engagement and accountability to drive growth and improve customer experience.
Before joining Siemens Healthcare, Mr. Bolorforosh spent more than 10 years with GE Healthcare. In 2007, he relaunched the company’s ultrasound contrast agent business and increased sales to $7 million per year in the United States. Over the course of his career, he has acquired more than 45 patents for systems, methods, and apparatus related to ultrasound imaging scans.
Mr. Bolorforosh holds a PhD in electronic engineering from King's College at London University and a bachelor of science with honors in electronic and electrical engineering from Cardiff University. He maintains membership in the Institute of Electrical Engineers.
