Based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, Rob Woodfork reports sports and traffic for WTOP 103.5 FM, and has been with the station for nearly a decade. Rob is also well-known as a blogger and digital editor for the station's website, writing on a variety of topics for WTOP.com. Rob's pet project is his weekly NFL Recap, which he started over a decade ago and previously published on multiple platforms before bringing it to WTOP in 2012.
Prior to joining WTOP in 2011, Rob was a news and traffic reporter for Metro Networks in central Pennsylvania. His responsibilities included serving as morning traffic anchor with FOX43, reporting traffic for a cluster of area radio stations and he also covered Penn State football for Radio Pennsylvania.
One of Rob Woodfork’s accomplishments has been writing and producing a pair of award-nominated Olympic series, “Beltway to Brazil” (2016) and “Locals in London” (2012). Rob, a graduate of Columbia School of Broadcasting, is a longtime member of the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) union.
