Development of a sustainable procurement strategy and roadmap for the university to reduce its Scope 3 emissions, namely those stemming from purchased goods and services (category 1) - project managed alongside current BD role
Cross-functional consultation with a wide range of internal units and stakeholders to develop a workable solution
Collection and analysis of emissions data to identify hotspots and develop long-term strategies to change how the university procures sustainably
Engagement with suppliers to scope out sustainability maturity and identify potential stakeholders to increase circularity
Development of a change management strategy to roll out the initiative across the entire organisation
Detailed systems mapping to embed the new processes into existing infrastructure, along with gap analysis of new system requirements needed to support the project rollout
Consultation of Greenhouse Gas Protocol and other universities for best practices, linkage of proposed changes into the university's EMS (ISO 14001) and the wider UN SDG framework
