I have always been fascinated by the human brain and what contributes to our wellbeing. I enjoy working within team environments and can take initiative to lead, when required. Also, being sensitive to the group dynamic.
After working as a qualified Mental Health Nurse in an Adult Acute ward, I moved into Special Needs Education, as an assistant and onto train as a teacher. I have developed competencies in Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Particularly in education settings, I like to include drama, music and play, that are therapeutic as well as educational.

Chair, Greenwich Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership

  • Lead the Greenwich MNVP, representing the voices of women, birthing people, babies and families.
  • Chair partnership meetings and provide strategic leadership to support service improvement across maternity and neonatal care.
  • Work collaboratively with Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, NHS South East London ICB, local authorities and voluntary sector organisations.
  • Gather, analyse and present feedback from families to inform service design and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Champion co-production, ensuring the experiences of service users directly influence decision-making.
  • Advocate for equitable, inclusive and family-centred maternity and neonatal services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, community organisations and local families.
  • Support engagement activities to increase participation from diverse and underrepresented communities.
  • Influence positive changes to local maternity and neonatal services through evidence-based feedback and stakeholder collaboration.
