I am currently building platform features that help Datadog enterprise customers get their tagging configuration right in order to benefit from governance capabilities.
Tag Governance Building a cross-product control plane for tags, defining an org‑scoped policy system and admin UI to make tags consistent across all telemetry through:
Tag Visibility Helping customer visualise their tagging coverage with policies to identify gaps and misconfigurations
Tag Enrichment Enabling editable tags in catalogs and over API-Keys with propagation to related telemetry. Driving ownership, accountability and improving data quality overall.
Tag Enforcement Enforce tagging policies to offer ingestion controls by dropping data at various stages.
Support Engineering Tools
Building tools to improve customer success and support engineers daily workflows
Centralizing customer information and account configuration
Onboarded over 40 new data types while protecting growth of pre‑existing streams such as Logs, APM, RUM
Initiated Event Platform Console for product teams self-service operations
Simplified product configuration rollout from seven services to one
Intake migration: Consolidated 80+ dedicated pools into shared capacity to cut toil and waste
Platform Capabilities
Initiated an event forwarder service to enable cross-product telemetry leveraging
Standardized events attachments lifecycle to enable large file ingestion at minimal costs
“Worker Functions” runtime: Moved from a general data processing service to a platform‑operated shared runtime + SDK so product teams own their custom data processing while benefiting from platform capabilities (isolation, pooled cells, unified deploys, reliability, cost-efficiency)
Foundational platforms
Promoted the Streaming Platform (unified client + control plane + admin UI) to standardize features such as backfills and slow‑lanes across Datadog
Promoted the Context Platform (local RocksDB configs) to enable workloads to access always-available fresh configurations instead of relying on external fallible data sources.
Project Management: Delivery team organization, planning, risks & costs management
Customer relationship: Requirement analysis & definition, acceptance follow-up, redaction of the compliance files submitted to European banking regulators.
