About Me
A former public works administrator for several municipalities, including the Village of Homewood and Lake in the Hills in Illinois, Patrick Ryan currently serves as vice president of the Batista Group. In this role, he focuses on the remediation and rehabilitation of client properties. Patrick Ryan joined the Batista Group in 2012, and since then has rehabilitated numerous brownsites and directed the remediation of a number of properties that now house single- and multi-family homes.

Mr. Ryan has developed a reputation throughout his career as an environmentalist and conservationist. In his work, he has advocated for environmentally conscious building upgrades, including cutting-edge streambed, stormflow, and riparian technologies. In addition to guiding upgrade projects, he has also proven adept at securing funds for the purchase and installation of new technologies through state and federal grants.

Outside of his career, he maintains a similar focus on the environment by staying up-to-date on environmental news. A lover of the outdoors, he spends his free time camping and hiking in places such as Yellowstone National Park, Denali National Park, and Teton National Forest.

Certified Class ā€œCā€ Water operator. Perform detailed evaluation of building systems and structures to determine maintenance schedules and develop a capital improvement plan. Implement facility and systems improvements to maximize energy use and efficiency. Assisted in the implementation of a geothermal heating/cooling system for the Municipal Safety Complex. Conduct routine safety inspections on systems and equipment to assure compliance with federal, state, and local standards. Draft bid specifications and perform all bid procurement services for outside maintenance and repair contracts. Oversee all contractual personnel in completion of duties while processing payment requests. Conduct safety and training programs to increase departmental safety and task knowledge and reduce exposure. Update building records and inventory for asset control and continuing maintenance. Secured DOE grant funding for comprehensive energy use analysis of all municipal owned and operated facilities. Prepared detailed plans for security and energy efficiency upgrades for City-wide facilities necessitating the coordination and cooperation of four outside agencies and governing boards.
