About Me
Oscar Elizondo is a business leader based in Pharr, Texas, who is currently concentrating on the construction industry after building experience across healthcare and other sectors. This shift reflects his focus on applying his operational knowledge and financial discipline to commercial and residential construction, remodeling, and the continued expansion of home services across Texas.
Elizondo has worked across several industries, and his transition into construction is supported by his background in real estate investment and project management. These experiences allow him to approach projects with a structured plan while maintaining steady execution. His work focuses on delivering reliable construction outcomes while expanding services to meet the needs of both residential and commercial markets.
Oscar began his professional journey after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas–Rio Grande Valley. He entered the workforce in corporate tax preparation and accounting, working with mid-sized and large organizations. These early roles helped him develop a strong understanding of financial systems, budgeting, and operational processes. He later advanced to a regional manager role at ADP Payroll Processing, Inc., where he expanded operations across South Texas and managed client relationships. His contributions were recognized with Rookie of the Year and Manager of the Year awards.
Elizondo expanded his professional path by entering the real estate sector. After earning his real estate license on his first attempt, he worked as both an investor and agent, completing more than $20 million in property transactions between 2012 and 2018. This experience strengthened his ability to evaluate property value, understand market conditions, and manage transactions. His involvement in construction began earlier, in 2003, when he started building homes alongside his cousin. Over time, he remodeled properties and developed the skills that later became the foundation of his construction business. In 2019, he established Zondo Construction and Zondo Roofing, overseeing residential homes, apartment complexes, and commercial buildings across South Texas.
Oscar Elizondo has also taken on renovation and restoration projects, focusing on churches, commercial buildings, and residential properties. These projects require coordination, planning, and attention to structural details. His approach emphasizes maintaining the integrity of existing structures while improving functionality and efficiency. In addition to remodeling, he has expanded his roofing services and is considering adding foundation repair to strengthen his offerings further.
Oscar approaches construction leadership with a focus on organization, accountability, and coordination. He works closely with contractors, engineers, and clients to ensure that projects remain aligned with expectations. His ability to connect financial planning with on-site operations helps maintain consistency in timelines and scope. Strong working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors have also supported reliable project delivery.
Oscar Elizondo of Pharr, TX, remains active in his community and contributes to local development efforts. He has served on the Economic Development Board in Pharr and continues to support initiatives that promote regional growth. His involvement also includes participation in nonprofit and youth organizations, including leadership roles in Boys and Girls Clubs, economic development boards, and Lions Clubs, as well as coaching youth sports.
Elizondo enjoys spending time outside of work through activities such as cycling, running, fishing, hiking, and following the Texas Longhorns athletics. As a father, he continues to support his children as they pursue careers in healthcare, maintaining a connection to that field.
Oscar Elizondo continues to focus on expanding his construction work, including residential and commercial projects, as well as remodeling and roofing services. With plans to add foundation repair services, he remains committed to improving structures and supporting communities across Texas.
