Resume created on DoYouBuzz
  • I believe customer desirability is more important than viability and feasibility. I do not believe in problem-seeking solutions.
  • The #1 thing I look for in my people is curiosity. The #2 thing is clear evidence of discipline. #3 is resourcefulness.
  • I have clearly seen that diversity equals innovation. Diversity is the birthplace of wisdom and creativity.
  • I believe innovation is more effective with resource boundaries.
  • Always listen to the person on the ground.
  • It's just as important to show off what you do as it is to do it.
  • Three most important tasks of a leader: 1) Evangelize a clear vision of success to your people 2) Get the right person into each role 3) Let those people do their job and jump in when there are emergencies.
  • When a person tells you they will do something they are convinced will work, let them do it. Plan how you'll cover for them if they fail. If they fail, you were right and you had a contingency plan. If they succeed, you both win and you just learned a lesson.
  • One can mitigate fear & anxiety with preparation & practice. In other words: when in doubt, develop your understanding of the situation.
  • If you're not going to adapt to the context you're going to (e.g., country, ecosystem, company), you might as well not go.
  • Sacrifice plus Consistency = Results; Boundaries + Discipline = Success; Success/Results = 0.1-1% better than you were yesterday every day.
