After securing his bachelor of science in biochemistry from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Dr. Nilay Bhasker Thaker attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois, to earn his doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO). He subsequently completed a residency in family medicine through the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in New Brunswick and a fellowship in geriatric medicine through the CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey. Since finishing this residency in 2009, Nilay B. Thaker, DO, has been certified through the American Board of Family Medicine.
After serving as associate medical director of Branchburg, New Jersey’s Access Medical Associates from 2008 to 2010, Dr. Nilay B. Thaker cared for patients as a family physician with Mount Airy, Maryland’s Frederick Health Primary Care, for over a decade. In addition to working directly with patients, Dr. Nilay Bhasker Thaker spearheaded a range of administrative initiatives, including the establishment of a new digital health record system, improving clinical quality metrics, and working to ensure efficient clinician workflows.
