About Me
Upon earning a bachelor's degree in secondary education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, Nathan Duncan began his career as a US history and world geography teacher at Hingham Middle School in Massachusetts. He subsequently completed a 2-year stint as an environmental education volunteer with Peace Corps Guinea in West Africa, and, upon returning to the US, taught at Sharon Middle School. From there, Nathan Duncan enrolled at Boston University and earned a master's degree in international relations with an emphasis on African studies.

Nathan Duncan then leveraged his teaching experience and master's education to complete another 2-year tenure as an environmental education volunteer in the Republic of Togo. He moved to North Carolina in 2010, and served 2 years as a world history teacher at Cleveland Early College High School. He then worked as academic director at Academy at Trails Carolina from 2012 to 2017, where he oversaw more than 20 full-time staff, led curriculum development efforts, and hosted more than 60 tours per year for prospective students and their families.

Mr. Duncan has served as general manager of Patagonia, Inc., in Palo Alto, California, since 2019. Over the course of the past year, he has been able to boost in-store and social media traffic by 20 percent via marketing and sponsor partnership initiatives. His hobbies include outdoor recreation activities such as trail running, backcountry camping, and standup paddleboarding.
