• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments.
• Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
• Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using Total Station, levels, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS).
• Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
• Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data in order to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.
• Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain their accuracy.
• Work on Sokkia CX-107 and Topcon GTS-7500.
• GIS Data Specialist (GDS):
• Work with the GIS application to work on a variety of daily tasks.
• Use the core GIS software ArcGIS with its basic capabilities maps that are used to serve a variety of purpose.
• Read and interprets maps; manipulate, understand and manage data entered into a GIS database.
• Produce a highly presentable GIS map based on applications that are built and developed by GIS developer.
• Create and use Geodatabase components that maintain data integrity and prevent errors during data creation and editing in addition to solving common spatial data alignment problems.
• Compiling and presenting data on maps; helping in the upper management decision making process.
• Use a variety of Map production editing techniques.
• Use a variety of automation techniques required for making quality control on data.
• Build a complex model to automate an analysis workflow.
• Use well Geographic Information System (GIS) fundamental concepts, practices and procedures; with an emphasis on analytical work.
