Michael Wetzer is an executive with experience in engineering, technology, and business strategy. As the founder and chairman of the Coastal Group of Companies, Michael Wetzer has worked with early to mid-stage technology firms, focusing on R&D, intellectual property valuation, and manufacturing innovation.
Mr. Wetzer has held senior roles at Accenture, EY, and Rockwell/Boeing, where he was involved in engineering computing operations and global market development. He has led large-scale projects in digital transformation, advanced computing, and aerospace engineering, with collaborations involving the U.S. Air Force and Fortune 100 companies. He has also contributed to software development for secure data authentication and holds patents in predictive maintenance and enterprise technology.
In addition to his corporate roles, Mr. Wetzer is a pilot and a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He has participated in academic and industry discussions, including events at Columbia Law School’s Millstein Center and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. He holds a degree in engineering from California State University Long Beach and an MBA in quantitative systems from Loyola Marymount University.
