A native of Waco, Texas, Michael Kunka is the owner of MAK Lawn Service. Through this company, he provides lawn mowing services to commercial businesses, including manufacturing companies and nursing homes. The services provided by Michael “Mike” Kunka and his company include prepping, planting, and maintaining beds, as well as mowing. He also performs odd jobs for clients as needed.
Prior to this, Mr. Kunka held a variety of jobs around Waco. He was a food server at Bush's Chicken, where he worked the drive-thru lane, cleaned up, and closed. He also served as a lifeguard at Ridgewood Country Club for several months. Mr. Kunka was also part of the Panther Kids after-school care program for Midway ISD. In this position, he cared for elementary students and assisted them with homework and organized activities when their parents were unable to pick them up after school was done each day.
During these experiences, Mr. Kunka also maintained his academic responsibilities as a student at Midway High School. A member of the Spanish club, he also belonged to the varsity water polo and swim teams. Further, he was on the junior varsity golf and football teams. Mr. Kunka also belonged to the Business Professionals of America and the student council.
