Michael Harrelson is a Ridgley, Tennessee, entrepreneur who owns and operates Epurga, LLC, and specializes in the development and commercialization of next generation solid waste processing technologies. Michael Harrelson focuses on garbage gasification strategies that generate BTX-chain chemicals from synthetic gas, which can be used to produce revenue-maximizing orthoxylenes and paraxylenes.
Mr. Harrelson also serves as general manager of the Class 1 landfill company ECM of Ridgely, LLC, and as vice president of operations for the waste management service company Rett Express. At the latter company, he oversees all aspects of operations, including truck drivers, equipment operators, dispatch, and insurance. His recent efforts have brought ECM and Rett Express into strict compliance with Department of Transportation and Department of Natural Resources regulations.
Mr. Harrelson’s background includes more than a decade managing a hauling and portable toilet company that grew over the years into a seven-truck, 400-box operation. Over the course of his career, he has worked 28 greenfield projects and acquisitions to fruition and has worked on more than 2,000 landfill sites.
