Mary Streshly

Based in Northern California, Mary Streshly has held leadership roles as a teacher, varsity basketball and softball coach, and school administrator over the past three decades. In her role as assistant superintendent of educational services with the Campbell Union High School District, Mary Streshly oversaw a division that spanned seven high schools, as well as adult education, independent study, and middle college programs. She performed supervision and assessment of district directors and principals, and also set forth strategic plans that encompassed student achievement and instructional goals.

Previous to that, Mary Streshly was high school principal at a Half Moon Bay campus within the Cabrillo Unified School District. Her efforts led to dramatic academic achievement gains among English Learners, with the school attaining high rates of Latinx students graduating at a level eligible for state college admission. She also established the Campus Beautification Committee and worked with parents to bring the school to the highest possible academic standards. Her accomplishments included developing technical education pathways in the areas of computer animated design and agriculture.

Active with the University of California Alumni Association, Ms. Streshly competed on the PAC Ten championship softball team while attending the University of California, Berkeley. In her free time, Mary Streshly enjoys hiking opportunities afforded by the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as travel and wine tasting excursions.
