Mark Fung

Currently a practicing attorney with offices in New York and New Jersey, Mark Fung holds a doctor of philosophy with distinction in Chinese studies and a master of arts in international economics from Johns Hopkins University. He earned his juris doctor from the Brooklyn Law School and completed his undergraduate studies in politics and East Asian studies at New York University. After finishing his work at Hopkins, Mark Fung completed postdoctoral work at the Fairbank Center of Harvard University. He has also worked as chief China researcher under Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski in Washington, DC. In this role, he looked at political trends in China and analyzed key leadership transitions. He is currently a fellow at the Harvard University Asia Center.

Earlier in his legal career, Mark Fung served as general counsel and executive vice president at a holding company operating in Hong Kong. He also worked as general counsel for a Beijing-based infrastructure holding company. Today, he focuses his practice on business and commercial law.

Mark Fung is admitted to the bars of New York, New Jersey, and Washington, DC.
