AIR GARDEN is a modular system of "beds" for vertical vegetable planting. With AIR GARDEN we create gardens and vegetable patches without the need for soil, thereby increasing plant coverage in our cities and contributing to the improvement of air quality in our environment. AIR GARDEN can be placed on the walls of our homes, imbuing them with colour and aromas, and improving sound and heat insulation. It can also be used to separate plots of land, terraces and environments, without the need for a wall, thereby creating a natural noise barrier. We can create a garden or organic vegetable patch on both sides. AIR GARDEN uses drip irrigation, thereby making it easier to conserve water and optimising water consumption.

During my final academic year, I was involved in a cooperation and development program in Senegal. The main goal was to improve the water supply, basic sanitation and solid waste management of a little island. This fruitful collaboration was settled within a partnership project with Yakaar África and the University of Cantabria.

Yakaar Africa is a Spanish NGO that works in Senegal with the aim of helping the African citizens to have a better future in their own land.
As part of a five student academic group, we elaborated the program of works, estimated the economical offer and made proposals to reduce the environmental impacts. In addition, we took part in a academic competition organized by BASF, one of the most important chemical companies in Europe.
Divided in groups of five students, we did the layout of the road with Autocad civil 3D and developed the project with its respective documents: report, plans, technical specifications of the perform of construction the and budget.
