About Me
With experience as a lawyer extending to 1980, Lloyd Sokolow practices in Delray Beach, Florida, and provides client-driven representation in immigration cases that include deportation defense and visa and citizenship matters. In 1980, Mr. Sokolow established a Schenectady, New York law practice that provided knowledgeable representation in health, employment, and family law matters. During this time, he also founded and led a number of treatment clinics for alcohol and substance abuse. From 1986 to 1996, Lloyd Sokolow was CEO of Lifestart Clinic and led a New York State Division of Substance Abuse and New York Division of Alcoholism and Alcohol-approved enterprise that had a strong presence in the Northeast New York medical community.
Dr. Sokolow is highly active in political, social and environmental causes and has been involved with such organizations/charities/campaigns as Habitat for Humanity. Oxfam, Amnesty International, Parents, Control Arms, International Rescue Committee, Conservation International, Doctors Without Borders, National Geographic Society, The Nature Conservancy and Save the Children. He has provided Pro Bono legal services to immigration causes such as DACA and TPS. He has two children. His leisure time pursuits include traveling internationally visiting important historical sites, supporting new artists, attending jazz and rock sessions and playing pickleball.
