Prior to accepting these positions, she spent more than a decade at the helm of her own cosmetic and general dentistry office, where she had to put her work on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her past dentistry experience encompasses working with the Children's National Hospital/Department of Health and serving as a consultant and implementation specialist with Bel Alton Regional Dental Center, the DocsLink Practice Resource, and several other Healthcare organizations in the Washington Metropolitan Area

Dr. Thompson holds a doctorate of dental surgery from Howard University. She maintains affiliations with professional organizations such as the Washington Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
