La Wanda Moorer

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, La Wanda Moorer has spent nearly three decades in various roles with different Lockheed Martin business areas. She joined Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space Operations in Sunnyvale, California, as a college intern in the human resources (HR) organization in 1996. This was followed by more than two years as a HR leadership development program (HRLDP) participant. La Wanda Moorer subsequently served as a law clerk, HR business partner, and HR compliance and HRLDP site lead for Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company.

In 2008, La Wanda Moorer joined New Orleans, Louisiana’s Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company as an HR manager. She later served there as an HR senior manager. She returned to Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company in Sunnyvale as the director of HR Compliance in 2011, and has since held expanded HR leadership positions at Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Solutions in Rockville, Maryland, and Herndon, Virginia, respectively.

Following two years as the director of HR at the Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems business area in Middle River, Maryland where she received the company's Evening of Excellence Award for Leadership. She subsequently assumed a similar position at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth.
