The head chef at a fine dining restaurant near Dallas, TX, Karen V. Davison has loved the culinary arts since she was a child. At a young age, she would watch her grandmother and mother cook for hours. She regularly helped her mother make dinner, would serve food to her family, and played chef with an apron and chef’s hat. The Dallas, TX, native dreamed of becoming a professional chef and replicating the nostalgic feel that she enjoyed so often as a child. This ultimately led Karen V. Davison to enroll at the Culinary School of Fort Worth and work her way up through the culinary industry until becoming a head chef.

Ms. Davison’s current role keeps her quite busy. Not only is she constantly thinking about what she will be cooking that day and how to best cook it, she is also considering the amount of prep work necessary for the kitchen while also working in time for her own activities and chores. Ms. Davison is also responsible for creating new dishes and dining experiences that work for her restaurant. This creativity is inspired by anything from music and art to travel. Eating food in different areas also excites her, since it exposes her to different flavors and menus that inspire her in creating unique offerings at her restaurant.
