- Build: Implement a database infrastructure to store and retrieve critical information across 5 datacenters, handling outages, scalability and security, dealing with disparate legacy hardware and high latency network (Active Directory, Windows Failover Clusters, SQL Server multisite and distributed database Availability Groups, VMware)
- Implement a multi-site classical SQL Server replication and failover platform
- High Availability: Plan and lead the successful internalization of customer facing servers ; Migrate and upgrade hundreds of databases worldwide to an automatic, near-zero data loss, SQL Server 2016+ platform
- Automation: Lead external resources in charge of fully automating and scripting servers deployment, setup and administration using PowerShell, Data-Tier Application framework and Policy-Based Management (Server Core, SQL Server, DACFx, SSDT)
Highly focused on Idempotence: Do, Undo & Redo ; Get(), Set() & Test() - Security: Reduce surface by providing lightweight Windows Server (Core) without any unnecessary or deprecated features or service; Replace Group Policies by Desired State Configuration; Deny any access and replace accounts and passwords by managed accounts
- Support: Provide high level insights to Development and Operation teams; Supply scripts and tools that enable safe and secure deployment, optimization and upgrade
