Joy Chesbrough is the CEO and founder of her consulting company, Philanthrovation. She brings over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, having served in leadership roles with Scripps Health Foundation, PetSmart Charities, MAP International, and as a consultant for Digital Light Media. She also spent time with the Scripps Center for Integrative Medicine and spoke at conferences there in 2006 and 2007 on the topic of philanthropy. Joy Chesbrough also holds memberships in the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, serving the latter as board chair. Who’s Who in America has been recognizing her as a thought leader in the nonprofit space since 2012.

In addition to her master's degree in nonprofit management and leadership from the University of San Diego, Joy Chesbrough spent three years in Switzerland, attending college. She holds a master's degree in communication for film and television from Regent University, where she won student awards for her film work. Ms. Chesbrough held producer and production manager positions for Channel Space Entertainment, a Discovery Channel Network entertainment partner. She was recognized for her work as the creator and executive producer of Dance 4 Change Haiti, a dance show that raised funds for the survivors of the 2010 earthquake in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.

In her spare time, Joy Chesbrough enjoys reading, theater, travel, and leading a healthy holistic lifestyle, which she explores and shares through her Facebook site, Wholosophy.
