John Hofmann of Wilmette, IL, has acquired extensive experience as a real estate finance professional over the past two decades. He completed his undergraduate studies in finance, and then earned a master of business administration from Northwestern University. In 2011, John Hofmann joined KeyBank Real Estate Capital, where he currently leads a banking team as senior vice president.
Previously, Mr. Hofmann worked at The Private Bank in loan workouts, dispositions and a failed FDIC bank acquisition. He was in charge of overseeing property management and negotiating sale agreements. In 2008, he served as managing director and head of The Carlton Group’s Chicago office. During his time there, he helped implement a new first mortgage loan program.
In addition to his work, Mr. Hofmann spends his leisure time playing golf. An active volunteer in his community, he participates in charity events hosted by groups such as the Syrian Community Network. He was also an associate board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago.
