A graduate of the Gonzaga University Honors Program, John Michael Myers holds a magna cum laude bachelor of arts in history and political science. He also earned a law degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia, and gained experience as an intern with the City of Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and as an associate at what is now Trautman Pepper.. Over the course of his legal career, he has represented clients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Montana, and Oregon.
In 2016, Mr. Myers relocated to Bend, Oregon, where he is currently a partner in the law firm of Phillips, Moore, Traylor & Myers, LLP. Focusing on family law, he provides professional, compassionate representation for clients going through divorce and custody cases. In this capacity, he handles parenting time negotiations, restraining orders, retirement funds, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
When he is not working, Mr. Myer enjoys spending time exploring central Oregon’s hiking trails, as well as kayaking, skiing, and snowshoeing. An aspiring novelist, he has completed one historical fiction novel and plans to work on more.
